Snuggle Up With Flannel II

Yesterday we showed you a grouping of flannels with a Northern theme. Today I am featuring a traditional floral grouping. Once again it is from Northcott and is only 9.99/metre. As far as I am concerned no one makes nicer classic florals or better quality flannels than Northcott - I just love them! Click here to purchase online: Town & Country Flannels .

Snuggle Up With Flannel

January is such a chilly month ... why not cozy up with some gorgeous Northcott Flannels? We have a large grouping of Northern Cottage prints in a warm country palette. These would make a fabulous raggy quilt! They are only 9.99/metre.

I honestly believe that Northcott makes the best flannels on the market - they wash without pilling or fading and have a gorgeous hand!

We hope you enjoy shopping on the new site! If you have any troubles or find any problems just let me know by phone 416 633-8800 or email and I will help you out right away.

Buck A Block

It is time once again for our immensely popular Buck a Block program. This year we will be doing it in black and white for maximum drama and maximum fun!

If you have never participated before this is how it works:

Pay an upfront registration fee of $7.50. For this fee you will receive a package of thangles and your registration kit. For the next 12 months you will visit the store at any time in the month and purchase one more block kit. Each kit contains the fabric and pattern to make one of the twelve pieced blocks in the quilt for only $1! At the end of the program you will receive the instructions to put the whole quilt available and we will have finishing kits available ... or you can choose your own fabrics.

Yes, you really do get everything you need to make a pieced block each month for only $1, including the fabric and the pattern!

To make the program as convenient as possible, you may visit the shop on any day of the month you choose to pick up your $1 block kit. If you can’t come in during a particular month(s) you must purchase the missed block kit(s) for $3 to once again be eligible for the $1 block kits.

In Store Shopping only please.

Not sure about Thangles? They are a great tool to use to make perfect half square triangles! Here's a little You Tube Video to show you how they work!

Sneak Peak...

I know that we have been very quiet lately but we have very good reasons! Sew Sisters have been working very hard to expand and enhance our services. As you might have noticed our blog has a new look as does our website! We have integrated our two websites (the shopping cart and the information site) into one new and improved website! We are confident that this will greatly enhance your online shopping experience. If you have any trouble or find anything problematic please let me know at 416 633-8800 or Our technicians indicate that we might have a rocky three days as we change servers. You will have to create a new account when you place your order but we thank you for your patience with that.

That's not all the news! In addition to our new look we are expanding our physical premises as well. The store will be about 25% larger than it currently is and we are adding a larger, improved classroom as well as some much needed storage and workspace. We are very excited about all this growth and want to thank all of you for giving us the privelege of serving you!
