Cat Acatemy Block of the Month



Java House Quilts designed this gorgeous quilt featuring beautiful batik fabrics. "Cat Acatemy" is a unique eight month block of the month program.
This delightful cat quilt is loaded with personality and a great project for any applique' enthusiast. The cats have companions from butterflies to frogs or grasshoppers and strike a playful cat-like pose. The unique border features hopping mice and a little guy called "Gizmo."
During this 8-month Block of the Month program, you will receive all the patterns and fabrics needed to complete the quilt top including binding. The finished quilt measures There is a $25 non-refundable start-up fee, then only $24.95 per month plus 3.25 shipping and handling (within Canada) for each kit.

Buck A Block Is Back



Next Year's lovely Buck a Block Quilt Sample is ready! Starting January 4th, you can register in the store for the 2011 Buck A Block Program. This is your chance to make two blocks each month for only $1.00!
Here’s how it works … each month you come in the store and pick up your packet. Your packet contains enough fabric to make two 6 inch blocks. The fabrics are a lovely soft purple and cream from Northcott. At the end of the year you will have 24 little blocks to use as you choose.
You must pick up the packets yourself. If you miss a month or send a friend to pick them up then you must pay $3.00 per block – no exceptions please!
There is an $8.00 registration fee. This fee covers the cost of one package of Thangles and a storage box.We will have finishing kits available at the time of registration you must let us know if you would like to purchase one. The finishing kits contain the green setting stars, the purple sashing, green cornerstones and the floral border fabric. The finishing kits cost $75.00.
