Blogathon Canada is On!

Welcome to Blogathon Canada 2013 - a week long blog hop of Canadian quilting blogs!  This week you can travel across the country and meet 100s of quilting bloggers.  Find new blogs. Make new friends and enter giveaways to win fantastic prizes!

Blogathon Canada kicks off in Beautiful BC!

Our first stop on Blogathon Canada 2013 is British Columbia!
We have two amazing hosts from BC with many fantastic blogs that you can visit. If you want to be inspired and see amazing work - BC is where you should go!

The Hosts:

Holly at Holly's Red Bike

Holly Broadland is the founder and co-president of the Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild. She has been a quilter for nearly twenty years and loves working with solids. She is the mother of two young girls and in her own words, is an "incurable procrastinator."

Heather at Winding Bobbins

Heather is a stay-at-home mom, living on beautiful Vancouver Island with her husband and two sons. She has tried her hand at crafts of all sorts over the years but now, most of her extra time and energy is spent on creating quilts and other sewn items for her family and friends.
Click here to visit: Heather at Winding Bobbins

Holly and Heather have chosen delicious goodies from our store to giveaway on their blogs and have a great list of blogs from BC for you to visit. Check them out and enter the giveaways on their blogs to win amazing prizes!

Giveaway from Aurifil

Our featured sponsor today is Aurifil.

Aurifil thread is "the bomb".  Aurifil is a high quality thread that has a long staple so is unlikely to tangle or break and has very low lint .  The 50 wt is our go to thread for piecing whether by hand or machine. It would be amazing just based on its quality but the price is very reasonable too!  Thanks Aurifil!
- Judy

Aurifil is offering a 50wt Eat Your Fruits n' Veggies Thread Kit by Pat Sloan to one lucky winner. You can use these threads for hand appliqué, machine appliqué and machine quilting. The box has 12 spools of yummy colors. Each spool is 1,422 yards of pure delight!

Eat Your Fruits n' Veggies Thread Kit by Pat Sloan

For a chance to win the Eat Your Fruits n' Veggies Thread Kit by Pat Sloan leave a comment on this post. Winners will be chosen at the end of the Blogathon and contacted by e-mail and announced on our blog on November 25th.

This Giveaway is now Closed. Please see our blog for the winner.

All giveaways on Blogathon Canada  are open to everyone! International participants are welcome!

If you are a no-reply comment blogger or a Word Press blogger please leave your email address in your comment so we can contact you if you win.

andrea @ tideline quilts said...

This is my first time joining the blog hop, and I'm having sooo.... much fun. Learning a lot too! The giveaways are a lovely surprise, and a nice extra. I use Aurifil thread, and love it because it works beautifully on it's own, or partnered with invisible thread on the top and Aurifil on the bottom. Many threads do not seem to like working with invisible thread...so Aurifil is my "go to" choice.

JANET said...
