Expansion Update!

This is how the Baldwin family spent their long Canada Day weekend. 

Emptying shelves, moving furniture, drilling holes and laying a new floor!

Our products are finding new homes and we're really excited to see what it will look like when its all done. 

Re-stacking the shelves. 

Some things stay the same. Some don't.

Expansion Update

We haven't had an expansion update in a while haven't we? We're sorry about that but how do you take pictures of a wireless network? :) We've been doing a lot of back end work - putting systems in place, counting bolts, measuring the store... that sort of thing. Hence the silence.

We do have new shelves though. We did promise more fabric and more fabric you shall have!

We're going to be re-arranging the store soon so we're prepping for that.

Lots of work got done this weekend on the new floor for the expanded store. Karen's husband Pete came down to help Fred and Lynn and here's the fruit of their labour.

Expansion Update

This is what the store looks like right now but we are happy to say we are functionally normally even with the hole in the wall. Look at all that space behind the cover... that's going to have more fabric! 

You can still find what you need.

So after the wonderful young men moved all the concrete blocks Fred (Judy's dad) and Karen ripped out the carpet. Can you see the long blocks of floor boards in the kitchen? They're waiting to be laid out. 

We're happy to say our classroom is up and running. It's bigger and brighter and seven wonderful ladies took a Machine Quilting class there this afternoon.

More Space = More Fabric

Yes! We are expanding the store! This will mean more space for fabric, more space for classes, and more quilting fun! 

We're going to be blogging about the expansion so make sure you follow the blog to see how things are coming along!
We must say a big Thank You to all our wonderful customers who've helped make this happen. We truly appreciate your support over the years and look forward to entering the next phase of our journey with you.
The store will be up and running through the expansion process and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience the renovation may bring. Rest assured we'll do everything possible to keep things running smoothly and efficiently.

Day 1: 

This is what the store looked like this morning. The Baldwin family worked hard all weekend to get the store ready for the guys who were going to blow a hole in the wall Monday morning. 

Karen (the other Sew Sister) is down for the week! :) Come by and say hello or see her at the Creativ Festival this weekend. 

So all the fabric was covered up and the men got to work!

At about 11:00 am they were all done and we went over to inspect the opening to the new space.

That's our new space! Imagine it all cleaned up and the walls covered with shelves of fabric!

This will be our new class room space.
